Treating water through electricity

ElectroX platform

Electrochemistry, engineered into a product.

ElectroX is Indra's patented non-contact micro-electrolysis platform. It turns difficult wastewater treatment into a modular reactor system that can be deployed at source, scaled in parallel, and monitored continuously.

Where ElectroX behaves differently

The reactor is tuned to pollutant chemistry, not a fixed chemical recipe. That is what lets Indra address varied streams without turning the plant into a stack of isolated treatment steps.

System comparison

The old way. The Indra way.

The comparison focuses on operational differences: chemical dependency, plant sprawl, and control over reuse quality.

Decision point Conventional treatment Indra ElectroX
Primary driver Chemical dosing, settling, and multiple sequential stages. Electricity-driven electrochemical reactions inside a compact reactor.
Deployment Large civil footprint, longer commissioning, and site-specific construction. Modular skids designed to retrofit around existing treatment plants after site validation.
Operations Manual tuning, chemical logistics, and variable sludge handling. Lower chemical handling, simpler operations, and plant visibility through Spectrum.
Reuse outcome Treatment often stops at compliance, not practical circular reuse. Water quality is engineered for flushing, cooling, boilers, irrigation, and process reuse.

Six treatment mechanisms in one reactor

Indra's non-contact micro-electrolysis brings core electrochemical reactions into a compact product platform, built in India and protected by 4 granted patents.

Electrocoagulation icon

Electrocoagulation

Destabilizes suspended solids, oils, and colloids so they can separate from the stream.

Electroflotation icon

Electroflotation

Uses gas micro-bubbles to lift separated material for removal without adding mechanical complexity.

Electroflocculation icon

Electroflocculation

Forms denser flocs that improve downstream separation and reduce dependence on dosing recipes.

Electrodisinfection icon

Electrodisinfection

Supports pathogen control as part of the electrical treatment route for reuse-focused systems.

Electro-oxidation icon

Electro-oxidation

Targets organics, dyes, COD load, and difficult constituents through oxidation pathways.

Electrosorption icon

Electrosorption

Helps capture selected ions and pollutants where the stream needs tighter polishing.

Versatile Process Integration

Stage 01

Pre-Treatment

Used before downstream systems when the incoming stream needs load reduction, shock-load handling, or targeted removal of silica, hardness, sulphates, VOCs, and similar contaminants.

Stage 02

Primary Treatment

Used as the main treatment step when electrical reactions can simplify the route, reduce chemical dependency, and bring variable industrial or non-industrial wastewater under control.

Stage 03

Polishing Treatment

Used after existing systems when a site needs tighter treated-water quality, including support for heavy metals, fluoride, bromide, and other polishing challenges.
